Lunch time treats //

Queued amongst some angry female shoppers to buy myself a tiny treat. So cute and such a lush colour!

Brian's Winter Wonderland

So from the 11th - 14th of November Brian opened up as a fully fledged 'Pop up' shop at Maiden.

The basement was slightly wrecked, so we had to paint it white (8 times) first.

Which invlolved a ot of gin drinking along the way...

Then we started to set up. We got the lovely Holly Cameron to design and paint us a mural:

Then we started to put everything together, which took 5 days!! As well as vintage clothing, we had jewelery from Dorris Does, Homewares from Leonardo da Vintage and Christmas Cards hand made for the shop.

We also had to create a window display. Carly hand-made 20 pom poms which we strung from the ledge with fairy lights and snow to create a Winter Wonderland window!

We had a fabulous launch party, and all our friends and fellow vintage lovers came down to support us.

Watch this space for Yes Brian, hopefully coming to you full time from Camden market next year!

Dinky Vintage

I went to Brighton this weekend and found the most adorable vintage shop I've ever seen! Dinky Vintage on Sydney Street in the North Laines area is a vintage childrenswear shop that's full of amazing pieces from Victorian Christening gowns, to 70s Osh Kosh dungarees. They also stock amazing retro toys, children's furnishings and accessories. The owner, Grace (such a sweet girl!) told me that each piece is handpicked and mostly sourced on the frequent trips she makes to America to visit family. If you're in the area, I couldn't recommend a visit more!

Shoreditch double bill!

Two of our most favourite ladies, Lindsey and Claire who founded Ballad Of magazine are having a party! On Friday the 12th of November, they are launching their next issue at Jaguar Shoes in Shoreditch, (conveniently one day after Brian's Pop up Party!)

They will be bringing you live art, a mini art exhibition and live bands, so it should be an ace place to spend your Friday night!

And if you're heading there, why not drop in on the Brian pop up? We'll be open just a few doors down from 11am - 7pm on Friday at Maiden, so you can shop, drink and hang out with all of us - in one go!
